I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for ways to find teaching tools and music at a low cost.  Free is also good.

I have a few students this year that are interested in jazz and improvisation, so I like to use lead sheets as we talk about the different 7th chords and their inversions.  Initially I don’t want to purchase a fake book that the student may or may not end up using — so I look for free downloads of a lead sheet or two to get the student started.  Recently I discovered Wikifonia, a site where you can download lead sheets.

It’s perfect for just printing off a few easy tunes to use in a jazz theory lesson!
